Hi, I’m Caroline West

PhD Student in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in the LaBella Lab

My current areas of research are tRNA, high-throughput genomics, mRNA, biomolecular condensates, and novel bacteriophages.

Floral DNA Structure

My career started as an emergency room nurse, and while I enjoyed being able to directly impact lives, I wanted to make a difference in the world in a different way. That's where I found my love of research and science outreach.

My goal in life is ultimately to improve health outcomes through research and educate the public to reduce health literacy disparities.
